Accountant responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling statements.
The accountant will assist with month-end tasks.
You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions.
A successful Accountant should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
It is a plus if the candidate has done some cost accounting tasks.

· Prepare account reconciliations and related JE’s
· Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and month end processes
· Assist with monthly financial statement preparation, external audits and other projects as needed
· Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
· Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
· Constantly update job knowledge
· Assist and support with external audits
· Assist with accounting projects as needed
· Recommend continuous process improvements and possess thorough knowledge of ERP Accounts Receivable and general ledger systems
· Ensure processes are performed within control guidelines and enforce compliance to controls
*Skills and Qualifications*
· Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accountant in a manufacturing environment
· Ability to work independently

· Ability to identify and consider the relative costs and benefits of decisions and make sound recommendations
· Perseverance and positive attitude
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to forge and work in teams and maintain cross-functional relationships
· Possess thorough understanding of ERP processes that impact the GL as well as subsequent processes to guarantee accurate and timely results
*Education and Technical Experience*
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
· Experience communicating with customers, sales, customer service, warehouse personnel, in terms meaningful to them
· Working knowledge of NetSuite is a plus
· Strong working knowledge of Excel using formulas, pivot tables, and v-lookup in MS Excel
· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*

Bachelor's Degree (typically in Accounting or Finance)
*Experience: *
3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Accounting or Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of Staff or General Accountant
