*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Receiving and Inspection:*
* Receive incoming shipments of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC products.
* Inspect and verify the accuracy of products received against packing slips or purchase orders.
* *Inventory Management:*
* Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
* Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventory audits.
* *Order Picking and Packing:*
* Pick products accurately based on customer orders using hand-held scanners or pick lists.
* Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
* *Shipping and Loading:*
* Prepare and stage products for outbound shipments.
* Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of products and adherence to safety guidelines.
* *Delivery Operations:*
* Safely operate company vehicles to deliver plumbing, electrical, and HVAC supplies to local customers in a timely manner.
* Plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency.
* *Product Handling:*
* Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
* Verify the accuracy of delivery contents against shipping documents.
* *Customer Service:*
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including courteous interactions with customers and prompt resolution of any delivery-related issues.
* Serve as a representative of the company, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
* *Inventory Management:*
* Monitor and manage inventory levels on the delivery vehicle.
* Communicate with the warehouse or inventory manager to reconcile discrepancies or shortages.
* *Safety Compliance:*
* Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
* *Documentation:*
* Complete accurate and legible delivery documentation, including invoices, delivery confirmations, and any required customer signatures.
* Submit paperwork promptly to the appropriate departments.
* *Vehicle Maintenance:*
* Perform basic maintenance tasks on the delivery vehicle, such as checking oil, tire pressure, and fuel levels.
* Report any vehicle issues promptly to the maintenance department.
* *Material Handling Equipment:*
* Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, following safety protocols.
* Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.
* *Quality Control:*
* Conduct visual inspections of products to identify any damages or defects.
* Report discrepancies to supervisors and work with the quality control team to resolve issues.
* *Safety Compliance:*
* Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
* *Collaboration:*
* Collaborate with other warehouse associates and departments such as the local delivery and counter sales team to ensure seamless operations.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
* *Cleanliness and Organization:*
* Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
* Assist in keeping storage areas and aisles free from debris and obstacles.
* *Documentation:*
* Complete and maintain accurate records, including receiving documents, pick lists, and shipping manifests.
* Ensure that all paperwork is properly filed and stored.
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experiences in a warehouse environment, preferably in a plumbing, electrical, or HVAC supply company.
* Valid driver's license with an F endorsement and health card with a clean driving record.
* Previous experience as a delivery driver preferred but not required.
* Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems and equipment.
* Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
