Job Title Plant 6 - Reliability Electrician III - D Shift Position Overview Shaw Industries is looking to hire and train a Reliability Electrician III who will play an important role in the manufacture and distribution of a variety of flooring solutions for our residential and commercial customers.
We are looking for individuals who are motivated, interested in learning various skills, and who enjoy problem-solving.
We are currently looking to fill a D shift opening.
This position can be filled as a Level III.
Opportunities available are on D shift.

Essential Duties: Ensure electrical work completed is in compliance with the National Electric Code.
Troubleshoot advanced AC and DC drives.
Troubleshoot electrical sensors, electrical safe guards, and relay logic.
Must be able to design, install, repair, replace and maintain motors, drives, controls, starters, lights, power, communication, PLC, and other related systems, including writing simple PLC programs.
Power transmission components - bearings, pulleys/sheaves, shafts/rollers, couplings, sprockets, chains, belts, motors, and gearboxes.
Mechanical control systems - including related hydraulic & pneumatic elements Perform advanced troubleshooting and lead repairs of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime/productivity opportunities and issues Communicate findings and, leading design and implementation of correction steps Verify, provide feedback, and update electrical schematics appropriately and in a timely manner Troubleshoot and execute repairs of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime/productivity opportunities and issues.
Communicate findings, identifying root causes, and correction steps to operations and maintenance leadership Execute and assist in development of proactive maintenance plans, including planned jobs on assigned equipment to include: Operate machine tools and shop equipment including portable tools.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and high degree of professionalism Demonstrate the drive and initiative needed to master the equipment specific to that facility Execute assigned or scheduled work orders in support of projects and process improvement (PI) efforts identified as critical to business objectives Execute assigned or scheduled work orders in support of projects and process improvement (PI) efforts identified as critical to business objectives.
Assist in planning, kitting, and scheduling process.
Use precision instruments and tools to replace fuses, contacts, transformers, PLCs, motors, switches, relays and timers.
Work from oral and/or written instructions, prints and sketches; take measurements and make workable sketches; prepare material list and complete necessary purchase requisitions through Procurement software.
Fabricate and install conduit and wire production equipment, motors, pumps, shop equipment and other miscellaneous equipment as needed.
Must be able to interpret electrical situations to determine process failure, process need and process improvement.
Must be able to use test equipment including, but not limited to digital multi-meters, amp meters, megohmeters, etc.
Must be able to work required overtime.
Must be on-call for machinery downtime calls during both regular working hours and after regular working hours.
Must maintain electrical operations for off-shift production systems - may require giving instructions via telephone conversations.
Utilize any natural or acquired skills to do the total job (i.
e.
analyze problems, make decisions, and take necessary actions and help other fixer and/or technicians).
Utilize advanced skills to do the total job, exercising caution to ensure safety is never compromised.
This includes the maintaining of good housekeeping in and around the job site.
Report to management any quality and safety problems and potential production problems that are encountered while performing the job Obtain work assignments from Plant Engineer and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
Assist with any other duties as requested by management.
Enter work order information into Work Order Software.
Information required will include machine worked on, work completed, parts used, and time spent on work order.
Other information may be required at Department Management and/or Maintenance Planner discretion.
