Overview
We are currently seeking Assembly Maintenance Technicians to join our team at our facilities in Decatur and Athens, TN.
The ideal candidates will have experience with conveyor systems, ERP software, forklifts, HMI, PLC, robotic welders, and more.
This position requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, robotic welders, and other industrial automation equipment
Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems and wiring
Conduct machine safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
Utilize ERP software to track maintenance activities and inventory
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment using electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment
Coordinates maintenance activities with production control, tool room and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of manpower, machine and equipment
Reviews and analyzes production, quality maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of production problems
Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variances with supervisors and other maintenance associates
Consults with production personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products
Coordinate with Tool Crib Attendants and Maintenance Planner on purchase orders for tools, parts, and equipment as needed
Adhere to all safety regulations and policies in the plant at all times
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment and report out at the QOS meetings
Maintain excellent housekeeping habits (5S)
Maintain compliance with organizational policies, and safety hazards
Actively participate in Production, 5Why/RCA, and other problem solving meetings
Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED is required
Associate's degree in related field is strongly preferred
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English is required
Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of HMI and PLC systems
Basic computer skills
Forklift licensed
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
Special Note - Location and Schedule:
Candidates interested in working at the Decatur TN location will be hired, onboarded and trained at the Athens, TN location for 30 - 60 days before transferring.
Available schedules are;- Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm ($1.
00/hr differential)
Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm - 6:30am ($1.
00/hr differential)
*Candidates may be scheduled on days intermittently to train with other staff and learn more about manufacturing processes
Work schedules available when transferred to Decatur, TN (starting April 2024):- Monday - Friday 5:00am - 1:30pm
