What we need: Mohawk is looking for a Data Engineering Manager to develop and implement plans for highly complex and financially significant improvements and maintenance projects for Flooring North America.
This position provides project management for cross-disciplinary engineering functions, including operating budgets, project measurements, and control for capability, efficiency, quality, timelines and safety.
What you’ll do: Manage and optimize COPA (Controlling and Profit Analysis) distributions of shared costs and revenues to products, customers, and selling areas.
Design and implement effective data hierarchy management systems to ensure organized and accessible data.
Partner with information systems teams to build, optimize, and maintain data lakes to support diverse analytical and operational needs.
Develop and maintain automation processes for master data management, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver efficient data solutions.
Document and maintain best practices, project standards, procedures, application, quality objectives and “lessons learned.
” Participate as a technical expert on strategic long-range and highly complex data projects that span the organization.
Performs other duties as required.
What you have: Bachelors in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering or related discipline.
Master’s degree is preferred At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
History of success leading highly complex projects, including those with large financial impact and environmental compliance.
Experience dealing with complex master data issues, data quality issues and BI tools such as Tableau, Microstrategy, OracleBI, Business Objects, PowerBI.
Experience with SAP COPA distributions in a business setting, data lakes and large-scale data management, Power Automate, SAP Data Services with SAP BW, SAP ECC, HANA, and non-SAP data sources like AS400, SQLServers, Oracle, DB2, etc.

Possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently on complex projects and project management experience is a plus.
What you’re good at: Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers.
Able to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport persuades others, and gains understanding.
Willingness to accept responsibility, challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions, including the persistence and willingness to take calculated risks, to stimulate, market and sell new ideas within the organization.
Works effectively in a diverse work group, to achieve results through team efforts, and the desire and ability to motivate, persuade and direct the activities of others.
Manages/implements projects and contributes to concept development, and ability to identify, analyze and resolve business issues through solution-oriented projects.
Performs in a high-pressure environment and/or crisis situation and renders good decisions to resolve problems, maintain safety and ensure adherence to Corporate Code of Conduct.
