Fordham Electric Southeast, Inc.
is an Electrical Contractor specializing in new commercial construction.
We focus primarily on apartment buildings and hotels, but work on a variety of projects when they come up.
Our primary headquarters is in Chapin, SC and we have an additional office and warehouse in Nashville, TN.
We are looking for an electrical foreman to oversee daily operations and ensure the completion of a large multi-family housing project in Nashville, TN.
The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable with all aspects of the Commercial Electrical Construction Industry and Electrical Installation Methods.
They must be familiar with current National Electric Code Standards and have field experience.
Experience with Procore is preferred.
An excellent foreman should be able to direct, supervise, and troubleshoot routine issues that occur on the job site while ensuring all safety rules are followed and work schedules are being met.
Responsibilities
* Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel
* Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
* Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures
* Attend weekly job-site schedule and safety meetings
* Regularly reporting project status to supervisors, site engineers and other officials
* Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
* Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish
* Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc.
and give them guidance when needed
* Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and equipment
Skills
* Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
* Good knowledge of MS Office
* Familiarity with construction/ project management software such as Procore
* Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
